The company has completed the construction of a second production line enabling Mid America to meet growing demand for its products, while continuing to manufacture high quality pet food with strict adherence to food safety standards.

Trinity Hunt has partnered with Scott Glover, the founder and CEO of Mid America Pet Food, with the collective goal of increasing production capacity, expanding the existing footprint in the rural farm-and-feed store segment of the market, and accelerating the growth into the more urban independent pet specialty store segment. Once the founder was ready to step back, Trinity Hunt brought on industry veteran, Greg Cyr to serve as CEO and accelerate growth. Under Trinity Hunt’s ownership, Mid America Pet Food entered new distribution channels, including e-commerce, expanded its retail footprint from 1,200 to 8,000+ stores, increased its production capacity by five-fold and implemented an SQF-certified food safety program and new ERP system. Trinity Hunt successfully exited its investment in Mid America in December 2020, through a sale to TA Associates, a leading global growth private equity firm.

Mid America is located in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, about 120 miles east of Dallas. This was Trinity Hunt’s second investment in the premium pet food industry.
