Trinity Hunt Partners Announces Sale of Lakeview Health

Trinity Hunt Partners, a Dallas-based private equity firm, today announced the sale of portfolio company Lakeview Health, a leading accredited substance abuse treatment provider based in Jacksonville, Florida, to The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm.

Trinity Hunt’s partnership with Lakeview’s management team began in December 2012. After investing in the treatment center, the firm recruited highly experienced healthcare executives and industry professionals to provide managerial and Board-level guidance to the organization. Management and Trinity Hunt also dramatically improved clinical care as well as completed a $27.9 million campus renovation, including updates to the primary facility, as well as the construction of a conference and wellness center, an administration building, and a state-of-the-art, 54-bed, women-only treatment facility, transforming Lakeview into a world class healthcare provider.

“Trinity Hunt was more than just a capital source, and their partnership and behavioral healthcare experience played an instrumental role in shaping Lakeview into a center of excellence within the substance abuse treatment industry.” said Roy M. Serpa, who will continue to serve as president and CEO of Lakeview. “We would not be where we are today without Trinity Hunt’s strategic guidance and their investment in time and capital over the past four years.”

“Working side-by-side with management, our team has helped Lakeview become one of the foremost residential addiction treatment centers in the U.S.,” said Pete Stein, managing partner of Trinity Hunt. “Our partnership has laid the foundation for Lakeview to continue positively impacting the lives of their clients and the families that care for them.”

Lakeview Health was a portfolio company in Trinity Hunt’s Fund IV. Harris Williams & Co. and Andrews Kurth advised Lakeview Health on the transaction.
