Eating Recovery Center Announces Partnership With The Moore Center For Eating Disorders

Selective affiliations are part of Eating Recovery Center’s ongoing commitment to insurers and patients to provide geographically diverse centers of excellence for the treatment of eating disorders

Eating Recovery Center ("ERC"), an international center for eating disorders recovery providing comprehensive treatment for anorexia, bulimia, EDNOS and binge eating disorder, announced today that it has partnered with The Moore Center for Eating Disorders ("Moore"). Located in Bellevue, Washington, Moore is the largest eating disorders clinic in the state.

This partnership brings synergies to both organizations, enabling Moore to enhance its current treatment options by strengthening its connection with an international inpatient and residential center of excellence for the treatment of eating disorders, and providing ERC patients an additional high quality treatment option to explore as they step down from higher levels of care. Patients at both facilities will experience the benefits of two of the best programs sharing medical and clinical practices and philosophies.

Additionally, ERC will lend organizational depth and breadth to Moore, allowing the Washington facility to utilize ERC’s management and administrative services.

“At Eating Recovery Center, we continue to seek out established professionals who share our values and our culture, and who are committed to providing the highest quality eating disorders care,” said Kenneth L. Weiner, MD, FAED, CEDS, founding partner and chief executive officer of ERC. “The Moore Center has long been a trusted source of expert eating disorders care in the Pacific Northwest, and I have worked closely with the program’s dedicated team for more than 10 years. I strongly believe that this group is the right team with which to share our successful clinical programs.”

Since it was founded in 1991, The Moore Center has provided specialized and comprehensive treatment for eating disorders in a medical setting. The treatment center will continue to be led by program founder and medical director Mehri D. Moore, MD.

ERC’s affiliation with Moore is part of ERC’s ongoing effort to provide centers of excellence for the treatment of eating disorders in geographically diverse locations.

According to Pete Stein, a partner with Trinity Hunt, the two treatment providers have similar values and share a strong desire to provide a full-scale continuum of care to its patients.

“Dr. Weiner and the ERC management team have built an industry leading practice through the continual development of ERC’s clinical expertise and world-class facilities. This partnership with Moore, similar to ERC’s partnership with Summit Eating Disorders and Outreach Program ("Summit"), provides ERC’s patients with direct access to West Coast partial hospitalization and step down programs and allows for the sharing of best practices across the continuum of care.”

ERC is a THP Fund III portfolio company, and Mr. Stein and Mr. Hunter Peterson serve on the board of ERC with Dr. Weiner and other experienced industry professionals.

Trinity Hunt typically invests in established companies that are valued between $10 million to $150 million, where the addition of invested capital and operating resources can enhance growth in sales and profits. The firm considers investment opportunities across a diverse range of industries, including industrial products and services, business services and healthcare services.
