Miller Environmental Services (Miller), a leading provider of industrial cleaning and environmental services and portfolio company of Trinity Hunt Partners, today announced the acquisition of Belco Industrial Services (Belco), a major supplier of specialty industrial services in Texas and Louisiana.
The acquisition will enable Miller to provide turn-key solutions for its customers through expanded service lines now available via Belco’s mechanical and linings & coatings divisions. The transaction will also allow Miller to expand its services into the chemicals market, an area in which Belco has deep customer relationships and expertise.
Following the acquisition and as a part of Miller’s long-term succession plan, Miller is announcing three management team additions and promotions. Charles Miller, who founded Miller in 1985, will remain on the Board of the company and serve as Vice Chairman and Founder going forward. Kevin Trant has been appointed CEO of Miller after serving as COO since August 2017. Prior to joining Miller, Trant served as CEO for Western Emulsions from 2012 to 2016 (prior to its sale to Idaho Asphalt Supply) and as CEO of DuraTherm for four years (prior to its sale to Clean Harbors).
Mike Rose, the current CEO of Belco, has been appointed as the COO of the combined Miller and Belco business following the acquisition. Rose has over 30 years of management experience with industrial and mechanical services businesses, including nearly 20 years with the Industrial Services division of Veolia ES where he ultimately served as President and CEO. In addition, Trenton Thornock was recently hired as the CFO of Miller. Thornock brings over 20 years of financial reporting experience to Miller and previously worked with Trant as the CFO of DuraTherm.
“Miller Environmental has assembled the very best team of people in this industry. With the addition of Belco, our collective opportunities ahead are endless. Our new management team additions and my transition to Vice Chairman and Founder will allow me to spend more time strengthening relationships with our customers,” said Charles Miller.
“The partnership with Belco represents a compelling opportunity to significantly expand our service offerings to refineries and petrochemical, specialty chemical and midstream customers throughout the Gulf Coast,” said Kevin Trant. “We are excited to add Belco’s employees and customers to our organization, and are impressed by the growth trajectory of their business.”
Mike Rose commented, “We are honored to partner with the Miller and Trinity Hunt teams to enhance our growth prospects. As a part of this transaction, Belco will expand its footprint further into Texas and Louisiana, which are key markets and areas of focus for our customers.”
Miller provides exceptional service to its industrial customers along the Gulf Coast. Due to the company’s broad service capabilities and strong safety record, the company has earned a reputation as one of the preeminent regional industrial service providers in the downstream, midstream, and upstream hydrocarbon processing markets.
Trinity Hunt Partners previously acquired a majority share of Miller in October 2014.
